FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: controlled check leak comprises tight impermeable body filled with sample substance and permeable element tightly built into body and arranged in the form of tube. Inside permeable element there is an impermeable tube installed, which is tightly adjacent to inner walls of permeable element and moves along its whole length, thus, controlling flow of sample substance. Flow of sample substance may be assessed, depending on the length of open part in permeable element, by the following ratio: , where G - flow of sample substance through permeable element, r/s; d - inner diametre of permeable element tube, cm; δ - thickness of permeable element wall, cm; P - permeability of tube material, g·cm/s·kg; ΔP - pressure drop, kg/cm2; l - length of the open part of permeable element.
EFFECT: expansion of sample substance control flows range produced by a single check leak.
