FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: power direction is identified for phase inputs of main power source on the basis of phase currents and opposite line voltage with consideration of maximum torque-angle and when power direction is changed in direction of at least one phase power supply is switched on to backup supply source. Suggested device contains disconnect switches for main and backup power supply sources, section switch, voltage transformers at buses of main and backup power supply sources, current transformers at inputs of main and backup power supply sources, voltage and current ADCs, microprocessors-based responder which is additionally equipped with line-voltage shaping unit for main and backup power supply sources and unit for determination of power direction at phase inputs of main and backup power supply sources.
EFFECT: improvement of operating speed and reliability for detection of power supply failure and extension of control capabilities for switching-on of backup power supply source.
