FIELD: electricity, electric equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to electric equipment. Technical result is in increase of reliability of determination of reasons for loss of normal electric power supply and expansion of functional possibilities of controlling device of automatic connection of reserve power supply. For that purpose in the method additionally the minimum current of every section input is measured, then compared to the set value of input current, and in case the set current is exceeded, the change over takes place to the reserve power supply source. The device consists of input switches of main and reserve power supply sources with block-contacts and control switches, section breaker with block-contacts and control switch, voltage transformers on bus bars of main and reserve power supply source, current transformers at the inputs of main and reserve power supply, two protection relays, and also is additionally equipped with voltage transformers, which are connected to input switches, fast-acting start devices.
EFFECT: expansion of functional possibilities of controlling device of automatic start of reserve power supply connection.
