SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a vacuum cleaner. The vacuum cleaner includes a dust container for storage of contaminants, a pressing element which is located in the dust container and capable of rotating in the first and second directions, and a driving device for rotating the pressing element. The pressing element rotates in the first area corresponding to the first angular range, and at least a part of contaminants is stored in the second area, corresponding to the second angular range (360 - the first angular range).

EFFECT: increased efficiency of collection of contaminants and maximisation of collection of contaminants.
