FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of flat shavings for structurally-oriented wood-base materials. Proposed method comprises the following process stages: semi-finished product is made from material containing lignocellulose, its length varying between 20 mm and 200 mm. Said semi-finished product is subjected to cooking for, at least, three minutes performed at, at least, 40°C. Then, said semi-finished product is shaved or laminated.
EFFECT: larger portion of flat of long shavings, smaller portion of minor ends at lower electric power consumption.
