SUBSTANCE: first device can form a wireless link with a mobile device and initiate (peer-to-peer) P-P ranging. By using a ranging module, the first device determines the distance between itself and the mobile device, and using an authorisation module, verifies whether the distance is less than or equal to at least one threshold distance. If the distance is less than or equal to at least one threshold value, a dynamic mobile coupon (DMC) is associated with the mobile device.
EFFECT: higher security for issuing the DMC and mitigation of device spoofing, by verifying a minimum distance to the mobile devices and controlling issuance of the DMC on such verified distance.
