FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, specifically cardiology and functional diagnostics. It involves ultrasonic cardiography to determine left ventricular mass (LVM). A LVM index is calculated. A sphericity index and a relative left ventricular wall thickness are calculated. The derived values are used to determine an integral left ventricular geometry (ILVG) by formula: The ILVG value not exceeding 200 g/m2 enables a favourable outcome. If the ILVG value varies within 200 g/m2 to 270 g/m2, there is a risk of developing painless myocardial ischemia during next 3 years from the day of examination. The ILVG value being equal to 270 g/m2 and more shows a high risk of developing painless myocardial ischemia during next 3 years from the day of examination.
EFFECT: method enables fast, non-invasive, outpatient prediction of early ischemic heart disease.
