SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ship skin plating and method of its production. In compliance with first version, plating comprises element with separate hollow chambers arranged in curved plate between two outer layers, and gastight film enveloping said element. Gastight film envelopes hollow chambers while outer layers are located on outer surface of said film. Gastight film envelopes hollow chambers after vacuumising said chambers. In compliance with second version, one of said outer layers is enclosed, together with aforesaid element, in gastight envelopment. In compliance with third version, outer layers are enclosed, together with aforesaid element, in gastight envelopment. Proposed method comprises vacuumising elements with hollow chambers. Note here that said element is enclosed in gastight envelopment and vacuum is removed to allow tight fit between gastight film and element.
EFFECT: decreased weight, better heat-insulation properties.
