FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemical industry. The method for complex recycling of wastes formed when processing titanium semi-finished products involves chemical analysis of spent acid wastes, adjusting molar ratio of titanium and fluorine in the solution to critical values, adding a calculated amount of an alkali metal to the solution, filtering, washing and drying the salt. Concentration of titanium in the spent acid wastes is increased to 90±5 g/l by dissolving solid fine-fraction titanium wastes. The molar ratio F/Ti in the spent acid wastes is adjusted to 6.3-6.8 by adding the required amount of hydrofluoric acid.
EFFECT: invention enables to create highly profitable technology of producing a valuable end product - potassium hexafluorotitanate, reduce the load on the environment and the hazard class of wastes.
