FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to obtain modifying master alloys for preparation of wrought and cast aluminium alloys, as well as for cast silumins. Mixtures of powders for self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS) are used as a powder composition, including waste shavings of aluminium alloy “АК7” and technical titanium grade “ВТ1-00”, which are mixed with amorphous boron grade A at the ratio of the molar parts of SHS mixtures in accordance with the stoichiometric composition of the target substances synthesized in the melt dispersed phases. The resulting exothermic mixture is compacted into rods and introduced into an electroslag remelting furnace.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to use production waste chips as initial charge components, while providing the modifying ability of the master alloy.
