FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical fibres. Optical waveguide is drawn from glass workpiece. First coating layer is applied on said waveguide and cured. Second coating layer is applied with subsequent application of painted coating. Second coating and painted coating are cured at a time. Second coating layer features higher modulus of elasticity compared with that of first layer coating and lower than that of painted coating. Painted coating modulus of elasticity makes 500-1000 MPa while that of second coating is 10-50% smaller than that of painted coating. Second coating material is cured to 90-96%.
EFFECT: higher flexural resistance, faster identification of fibre.
