FIELD: construction, road engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining, namely to provision of stability for landslide-hazardous boards of opencast mines, slopes and dump pits. The method to strengthen landslide-hazardous boards of opencast mines includes drilling wells into a massif, formation of cracks in clayey rocks of the opencast mine board, filling of wells with a strengthening solution. Previously position of sliding surface is identified in the thickness of clayey rocks deposited in the opencast mine board and ledges are arranged along the board height. Wells are drilled at the board ledges at the right angle to the sliding surface to the depth that exceeds the distance to the sliding surface. Board is strengthened by formation of retaining structures from clayey rocks strengthened by thermal treatment and surrounding wells, in sections of their crossing with the sliding surface, and subsequent filling wells with a strengthening solution. The strengthening composition is a cement and sand mortar.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of strengthening, simplified technology of opencast mine boards in landslide areas.
