To realise the method, the device comprises a unit of target class detection and an indicator "small target", an indicator "medium target", an indicator "large target". The first output of the transmitter, the output of the receiver and the second output of the recognition channel are accordingly connected with the first, second and third inputs of the target class detection unit, the first, second and third outputs of which are accordingly connected to inputs of the indicator "small target", the indicator "medium target", the indicator "large target", the unit of target class detection comprises a distance meter, the first, second, third and fourth threshold devices, the first, second, third and fourth NOT elements, the first, second elements AND, the first, second and third keys, a signal setter.
