SUBSTANCE: manual bus monitor for field servicing comprises: a plurality of terminals which can be connected to the coupling circuit of the technological process; at least one medium accessing unit connected to the plurality of terminals and capable of converting signals in the coupling circuit of the technological process and digital data; a controller connected to at least one medium accessing unit and capable of receiving digital information from at least one medium accessing unit based on signals in the coupling circuit of the technological process, wherein the digital information is digital information received from the control circuit of the technological process; memory connected to the controller for storing digital information received during the capture period; and a user interface which is configured to enable the user to determine the capture period.
