FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: rotor contains shell (1) enclosing shaft (2) with creation of space (3) for cooling flow supply to rotor. Between coils (4) in winding overhang, longitudinal braces (5) with U-shaped air ducts (6) for coils (4) cooling are located. In the space (7) between the shell (1) and lower winds of coils (4) in the winding overhang opposite to rotor teeth (8), longitudinal baffles (9) are installed with pitch equal to one rotor slot pitch. The baffles (9) divide the space (7) into zones of inlet (10) of cooling flow into air ducts (6) and zones of outlet (11) of cooling flow from air ducts (6). In inlet zones (10) in the shell (1) radial ducts (12) are made with pitch equal to two rotor slot pitches.

EFFECT: higher power of electric machine due to higher current density in rotor winding owing to higher efficiency of cooling the rotor winding overhang.
