FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: electrical machine, and namely a turbine generator, which is cooled in compliance with the proposed cooling method, includes housing (1) provided with stator (2), rotor (3) installed with gap (4) and gas coolers (5). Outlets of fans (6) are interconnected with the gap, with inlets to radial channels (8) of end zones, location zones (15) of front parts of the stator winding, with inlets to ventilation channels (13) in rotor winding and channels (14) made in large teeth of the rotor. Outlets of channels (13) are interconnected with the gap, and outlets of channels (14) are interconnected only with the middle zone of the gap. In radial channels of the toothed zone of the stator core there installed are braces that provide displacement of cooling gas out of uneven (10) radial channels of the stator core through a group of holes (11) to neighbouring even (9) radial channels, and out of even radial channels through a group of holes (12) to neighbouring uneven radial channels.

EFFECT: providing effective cooling of a winding and a toothed zone of the stator core of the electrical machine.
