FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method for determining implies sampling vitreous body in volume 0.3 ml from corpse's eye, then a spin probe C9H16NO2 in the amount of 30 mcl is introduced in the centre of the sample. The EPR spectrum values are recorded in 1.5-2.5 min and every 5 min during the following period of time until the values are stabilised. A spin probe reduction rate (K) is calculated by formula. The result is compared to tabular data derived experimentally.
EFFECT: method provides sufficient result sensitivity and reproducibility and enables determining the prescription of the death from 1st to 12th day of the posthumous period to the accuracy of 1 day.
