FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to forensic medicine, and can be used to determine prescription of death (PD) in the period of early cadaveric changes and early development of late cadaveric changes using biophysical methods of analysing biological materials. Method for determining prescription of death of a person by examining biophysical changes of tissues in postmortem period involves recording of amplitude spectra of secondary radiation – fluorescence of skeletal muscle tissue when probed by laser radiation at wavelengths corresponding to wavelengths of maximum absorption of radiation with coenzyme of reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADN) and coenzyme of oxidised flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD) – 365 nm and 450 nm respectively, estimating the fluorescence intensity using the normalized fluorescence amplitude to the backscattered radiation intensity amplitude. If NADN fluorescence intensity prevails as compared to fluorescence intensity FAD prescription of death is not more than one day, in case of prevalence of fluorescence intensity FAD compared to fluorescence intensity NADN prescription of death is more than one day.
EFFECT: use of the invention enables accurate determination of PD.
