FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: periodically, within a day, a nuclear reactor is put in operation at low capacity with pumping of a liquid-metal coolant of the primary circuit with subsequent start-up of the secondary circuit water pump at low rpm. At the same time water is preliminarily supplied from a discharge pipe via a pump into a distribution chamber of an evaporator's boiler water with reference to a nominal water level in a separator, then the separator and evaporator water temperature is balanced by pressure reduction in a separator. After start-up of the pump at low rpm, the rate of the secondary water temperature rise is controlled, increasing pressure in the separator by supplying steam of required parameters.
EFFECT: elimination of thermocyclic stresses in a most vulnerable unit of heat exchanger equipment, which will result in increased resource of equipment and reliability of nuclear power plant operation in general.
