FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of pelletized ammonium phosphate used in agriculture. Proposed includes pulp dispersion in drum-type a granulator-dryer on curtain of falling charge. Granulation is performed with varying curtain density at granule deposition and balling. Ratio of curtain density at said stages makes 1:1.35-1.55 while ratio of time of charge stay thereat makes (2-3):1. Proposed device comprises cylindrical drum with lifting vanes secured on its lateral surface. Said vanes are arranged are inclined to drum radius in direction of its rotation. Lifting vanes are arranged to divide granulator into three zones. In first and third zones, vanes are inclined to drum radius while in second zone they are turned toward loading chamber through 20-30 degrees to drum generatrix. Note here that volumes of said zones are related as (1.5-4):1:(1.0-2.5). Device incorporates also reversing auger, loading and unloading chambers, fluid spray nozzles and drying agent feed and discharge branch pipes.
EFFECT: higher reliability and efficiency.
