FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed system comprises set of chambers arranged along rolled steel beam. Vapor film on long steel beam is eliminated by providing every said chamber with blast hole extending from chamber to rolled steel beam to force compressed air for cooling gas fed into said chamber via inlet communicated with aforesaid chamber, nozzle plate with multiple nozzle holes made of blast hole to face rolled steel beam, cooling water feed nozzle, and straightening plate arranged between gas inlet and cooling water feed nozzle to prevent direct impact by compressed air fed via gas inlet. Cooling system allows spraying of cooling medium produced by mixing cooling water and compressed gas fed via gas inlet and straightened by appropriate plate toward rolled steel beam.
EFFECT: uniform cooling.
