FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of conditioning sewage sludge, particularly excess active sludge before decontamination, involving mechanical milling, intense cavitation treatment, determining water-yielding properties, characterised by that the sludge is further subjected to mechanical action through impact, shearing and abrasive loads combined with intense cavitation action, primarily in a rotor hydrodynamic reactor, having a housing with an inlet and an outlet for the treated sludge, a rotor and a stator placed inside the housing in form of discs, having mating protrusions and depressions which are superposed when the rotor rotates.
EFFECT: disclosed method of conditioning sewage sludge enables to protect the environment from wastes formed when processing and recycling sewage sludge.
