SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of and a device for energy generation and includes the following operations: input of a source material into a reaction area, besides, the source material contains one or more of the following components: sand, bauxite, containing silicon dioxide, quartz, gneiss, mica, granite, slate; using a source of primary energy to start the reaction, where the source material is heated, and silicon is released from the source material; using silicon in the first partial reaction, which proceeds exothermally and makes it possible to release heat; using the specified heat as secondary energy to substitute the primary energy source when heating the source material and/or for supply into at least one additional partial reaction or into several partial reactions, which require energy input, upon completion of which a product is produced, containing silicon, in particular, silicon carbide, silicon nitride.

EFFECT: production of siliceous products, which may be used as energy carriers.
