FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: intermediate rail brace comprises a track spike for driving into a wooden sleeper. The spike is driven in a position of a spike head, in which its longitudinal axis is at the angle of 0°<α<π/2 to the longitudinal axis of the rail, with subsequent rotation of the spike around the vertical axis and installation of its head onto a rail foot into a position, at which α=π/2. The spike rod is made of a steel bar by application of grooves on its circumferential surface, also in the form of threading or notching, and formation of two diametrically opposite sides on it by means of mechanical treatment, and these sides are arranged perpendicularly or in parallel to the longitudinal axis of the spike head, the distance between which is less than the bar diameter. The method of application of an intermediate rail brace including its usage for fixation of a rail to a wooden sleeper consists in the fact that in order to fix a rail to a wooden sleeper, the specified intermediate rail brace is applied. The track spike for the intermediate rail brace is characterised by the fact that it is used to arrange the specified intermediate rail brace.
EFFECT: increased resistance of a track spike to swig in process of transportation device travelling.
