SUBSTANCE: international text layout system with a certain font is used as the automatic text layout system. Text is formed in clusters and is displayed in a font of a specific size. The font size is given in em terms. This system comprises structure and layout filter configured to contain text properties, as well as apparatus for reading indicators associated with the data structure and configured to receive one or more text parameters. The system has apparatus for generating text parameters which is connected to the apparatus for reading indicators. The apparatus for generating text parameters includes a module configured to determine graphic density of the font. The graphic density includes the average gray level for the text displayed in the given font in the identified language.

EFFECT: automatic determination of readability characteristics, such as line height, font size and line length, so that text can be displayed on any display in any language and font of any size without manual setup.
