FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely anaesthesiology, and may be used as an anaesthesia care of surgical interventions. For this purpose a skin electrode of a nerve stimulator is fixed in a distal direction from a block place. Then an electrode needle with an attached syringe is introduced in the required point and electric pulses of frequency 1-2 Hz are supplied thereto. The electrode needle is projected towards a nerve to observe visible muscular contractions in an innervated area. Thereafter current intensity is reduced to terminate muscular contractions. Immediately before introducing an anaesthetic drug, the nerve fibres are stimulated by increasing the frequency of supplied electric pulses to 10-12 Hz. The anaesthetic drug is introduced. While introducing the anaesthetic drug, the nerve fibres are further stimulated by electric pulses of frequency 10-12 Hz with pressure making 15 V.

EFFECT: method provides the adequate prolonged anaesthesia of nerve stems and plexus combined with reduced number and concentration of the introduced anaesthetic drug ensured by improved penetration of the anaesthetic drug into tissue owing to specified frequency of pulse supply and voltage allowing during the anaesthesia procedure increasing a number of opening sodium channels inactivated by the anaesthetic drug.
