FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: this invention relates to hard alloy tool for forming or machining. Male die for deep drawing and smoothing is made from cemented carbide. Cemented carbide consists of (in wt %): 70-90 WC with mean grain size of <2 mcm, 2-8 TiC, 1-9 NbC, 0-3 TaC and 5-20 binding phase consisting of (wt %): 10-98 Co, 0-50 Ni, 2-15 Cr, 0-50 Fe and 0-10 Mo. Said male die is used in production of aluminium or steel drink cans. Besides, said male die is used in production of tubular shells, for example, dry cell battery shells and aerosol cylinders.
EFFECT: higher antirust properties, hardness and wear resistance.
