FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in friction welding of several flat adjoining parts connected by fastener. Fastener 1 has bead 5 on the side of top part 2. At first connection step, friction welding is carried out in rotating connection element 1 and applying pressure thereto unless welding zone is formed between connection element face side and bottom part 3. At second step, after stopping connection element 1, pressure is applied thereto by appropriate clamp to allow pressing bead 5, due to its deformation, against top part 2 to create retaining stress directed toward bottom part.
EFFECT: constant pressure on top part irrespective of shape and final state of friction welding joint.
