FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in welding of details made of high-temperature metal or low thermal conductivity alloy, namely, the melting temperature of which is higher than aluminum melting temperature and thermal conductivity of which is lower than aluminum thermal conductivity. Rotating sonde (1) of friction stir welding instrument is inserted into the material or connection between two details. The sonde (1) is fixed in the rib (4) or located between two ribs that are in contact with the detail or details. The sonde rotated relatively to the rib or every rib.
EFFECT: full mechanic separation at the rib and sonde rotation allows adjustment of supplied heat value to the welded details thus ensuring high quality of welded joints.
