SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for manufacturing mounting assemblies consisting of plates laid on each other using friction welding. Plates are retained together with a connection element the collar of which is borne against upper plate and which is made in the form of a flat cone ending with a vertex formed with a short cone, the curvature of which exceeds curvature of flat cone. In area of collar of connection element there is a capture for installation of the tool providing pressure and rotation. Collar formed with flat cone and beginning from upper plate and penetrating into lower plate, as well as collar protruding beyond lower plate, form friction welding zone between their internal surfaces and flat cone.
EFFECT: connection has special strength due to its design.
