SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building. Proposed sound absorber comprises built-up steel carcass whereto case is welded. Said case is shaped to reverse cone with hole at its vertex to accommodate elastic fastener, for example, spring with rod on its end to be locked at cone vertex by said fastener. Gasket made from antivibration material is arranged at cone base. Sound absorbing flame-proof material, for example, vinypor wrapped by sound lucent material, for example, glass fabric is secured to cone inner surface. AIR cavity is provided inside said cone between layer of sound absorbing material.

EFFECT: better anti noise and vibration properties.
