FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: safety lock for a small arms, such as a carriage gun in a "bullpup" layout, is equipped with a firing aggregate that moves forward to issue a fixed burst from two-four shots and moving inside its guiding bed. It comprises the right and the left gun handles with a lower window neck for lower discharge of cases. The safety lock is made in the form of a cylindrical element with a transverse locking ledge arranged near a breech end of the latter, with placement of a figured return spring on the breech end of the safety lock, and placement of an indicator mark of the safety lock position at the muzzle end of the safety lock. The safety lock fixator retains it from falling forward from the guide arranged in the form of a shield installed on the right side wall of the gun forestock arranged as a whole with a polymer upper longitudinal cover of the gun attached at the muzzle part of a metal basic element, forming a composite polymer-metal guiding bed. The shield partially with its lower cut covers the muzzle end of the safety lock, limiting its motion forward, and simultaneously protects the front of the upper longitudinal slot of the safety lock guide open at the muzzle part serving for passage as the safety lock closing ledge is assembled against contamination.

EFFECT: higher operational characteristics of a gun by improvement of convenience of safety lock use.
