FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: connector for forming a connector assembly in a pipeline system comprises a part of a substantially tubular wall, an end face and a passage. The end face is located between internal and external surfaces and determines a thickness of the tubular wall. The passage is arranged along the internal or external surface and connected with a transfer passage. The passage has a first configuration enabling to pass a fluid between the internal part of the pipeline system and the external surface of the pipeline system, and a second configuration. The second configuration prevents the fluid passing between the internal part of the pipeline system and the external surface of the pipeline system. In addition the passage enables transformation from the first configuration into the second configuration in the presence of the material enough. The cross-section area of the passage end face makes a value within approximately 0.0002 to 0.1 inch2.
EFFECT: higher reliability of the pipeline system.
