FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises simulating conditions of negative gravity, zero gravity and ''oil deficiency'' and controlling oil pressure and temperature, vibrations and breathing pressure in oil chambers. Tests are started at flight altitudes aboard the flying lab with engine to be tested equipped with oil supply system for aerobatics with their duration and cyclicity varying by cycles increasing in time at three engine operating conditions, i.e. idling, nominal and maximum combat conditions with fixation of minimum tolerable oil pressure in said three conditions. Then, tests are continued on ground simulating the ''oil deficiency'' in the same conditions with increased test cycle duration to make aerobatics maximum duration comply by direct dispensing of oil into engine.
EFFECT: reduced duration of expensive in-flight tests, higher reliability and decreased consumption of kerosene.
