FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: part of a ferromagnetic material, which is in form of a ring, is placed in the magnetic gap of an electromagnet. The ring is turned relative the magnetic gap. Over a time interval, magnetic susceptibility of ferromagnetic material inside the magnetic gap of the electromagnet is measured using an electromagnetic sensor, whose winding is part of the oscillating circuit of a high-frequency generator. The electromagnetic sensor is moved along the arc of a circle which is coaxial with the ferromagnetic ring inside the magnetic gap of the electromagnet. Magnetic susceptibility is measured in a calculating and indicating unit based on measurement of frequency in the high-frequency generator.
EFFECT: high accuracy of measuring magnetic viscosity of ferromagnetic materials.
