SUBSTANCE: invention relates to physics of ferromagnetics and may be used to investigate magnetic susceptibility of ferromagnetics in a wide range of magnetisation, including an area of deep saturation, in particular, during research of effect of dynamic abnormal magnetisation under action of magnetic viscosity of ferromagnetics. A device to inspect magnetic friction comprises an electromagnet with flat-parallel ends of magnetic poles connected to a controlled DC source. In its magnetic gap there is an edge of a ferromagnetic ring from investigated ferromaterial, put into rotary motion from a synchronous AC motor connected to an AC generator with controlled frequency, between which there is a meter of capacity of electric oscillations, information from which on capacity consumed by the synchronous AC motor arrives to an additional input of an information control and processing unit. Flat-parallel ends of the electromagnet are equipped with flat attachments from investigated ferromaterial, for instance, by their gluing.
EFFECT: inspection of magnetic friction of two dissimilar magnetic poles moved relative to each other without variation of distance between these poles.
