FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: proposed drilling bit includes housing with flushing ports and cutters with vertical rotation axes. Peripheral part of cutters is equipped with elongated rock-destructing elements and safety devices movable in axial direction and made in the form of a cylinder with shaped shank and longitudinal slots for rock-destructing elements rigidly attached to cutters. Each rock-destructing elements is provided with a shell with longitudinal slot for leading edge of rock-destructing element rigidly attached to shell; at that, shell is made from material with lower hardness and higher ultimate bending strength in comparison to the material. Also, bit is equipped with calibration elements in the form of discs rotating about vertical axis and fixed in slots on outer surface of cutter housing.
