FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device for calibrating heat flux sensors has a thermal radiator fitted with a temperature sensor, and a heat sink on which the calibrated sensor is mounted. The thermal radiator is in form of a cup on whose surface an electric heater is mounted, said heater being connected to a power supply and a power metre. The device includes a heat shield surrounding the radiator and having a similar shape, on whose surface the temperature sensor and the electric heater, connected to a shield temperature controller, are mounted. The heat sink is in form of a Peltier thermoelectric battery cooled by melting ice and connected to a power supply. The calibrated sensor is fitted with a temperature sensor and is placed on the thermoelectric battery such that it covers the output hole of the radiator and is connected to signal metre.
EFFECT: high accuracy of calibrating heat flux sensors.
