FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: method consists in setting of the required power of reference signal supplied to input of four-pole device and monitoring of powers of signals reflected from input of four-pole device and passed through it. New feature of the method is monitoring of power dissipated in four-pole device (Pd), determined as power difference (Pi) of incident signal and sum of powers (Pr and Ppassed) reflected from its input and passed through it: Pd=Pi-(Pr+Ppassed). Proposed metre of transmission and reflection coefficient module allows measuring additional parameter, and namely absolute (Pd) or standardised (Pd/Pi) dissipation power in four-pole device.
EFFECT: obtaining complete information during the test by measuring additional value of dissipated power in four-pole device, and obtaining the possibility of minimising dissipation power at adjustment stage, which improves operating reliability of four-pole device.
