FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: corrosion inhibiting composition capable of evaporation or sublimation, includes at least one aliphatic monocarboxylic acids with chain length from C6 to C10, at least one aliphatic dicarboxylic acid having a chain length from C6 to C10, a primary aromatic amide and an aliphatic compound ester of hydroxybenzoic acid. A method of producing of the said composition comprises mixing of the components listed above. The composition is used as a vapour phase corrosion inhibitor for packaging, storage or transportation, in cover material for corrosion protection of industrially important metals such as iron, chromium, nickel, tin, zinc, aluminium, copper, magnesium and their alloys.
EFFECT: raised corrosion resistance of protected metals.
