FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: articulated coupling consists of two flanges of half-couplings arranged with clearance between their end surfaces. Said flanges are articulated by, at least, two pairs of linkages arranged regularly along the circle and, pairwise, opposite each other. Said half-couplings are aligned by ball hinge with its center located at intersection of half-coupling axes. Ball hinge is made up of spherical recess made on one half-coupling and spherical tip arranged on other half-coupling and spring loaded toward spherical recess. Every linkage represents a parallelogram mechanism with identical distance between hinge axis. Said parallelogram mechanism is articulated with half-couplings by two cylindrical hinges and two intermediate ball hinges. Note here that centers of all said hinges are located in one plane.
EFFECT: reduced disbalance and vibration, smaller sizes, compensated distance variation between aligned half-couplings.
