SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electronic engineering and can be used in differential frequency sensors. The frequency subtractor comprises two generators with frequency-setting elements and a differential frequency signal shaper which includes series-connected frequency mixer and at least one resonator active filter link consisting of a first, second and third digital inverters, the input of the first of which is connected to the first lead of the first resistor, the first leads of the second resistor and the first capacitor, the second leads of which are connected to the output of the first digital inverter and through the third resistor to the input of the second digital inverter and the first lead of the second capacitor, the second lead of which is connected to the output of the second digital inverter and through the fourth resistor to the input of the third digital inverter and the first lead of the fifth resistor, the second lead of which is connected to the output of the third digital inverter, and through the sixth resistor is connected to the input of the first digital inverter; the second lead of the first resistor is connected to the output of the frequency mixer, the inputs of which are connected to outputs of the generators, wherein the output of the third digital inverter is the output of the device.

EFFECT: preventing fluctuation errors in the device for generating differential frequency signals while matching the input signal fronts and widening the differential frequency range.
