FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to collector for separation of carbonates by flotation and may be used for flotation of phosphates rocks. Proposed collector comprises, at least, one phosphorous acid ether according to formula
, where R1 represents H, CH3 or C2H5, - R2 represents the group selected from 2-ethyl butanol, 2-methyl pentanol, 2-ethyl hexanol, 2-methyl heptanol or mixes thereof, - R3 represents H or suitable cation selected from alkali metal, alkaline earth metala, ammonium, alkyl ammonium, alkanol ammonium or glucammonium, - k is the number 1 to 2, and - n is the number from 0 to 4. Proposed method comprises mixing ground phosphate ore with water to produce suspension, adding air into said suspension in the presence of collector, and separating formed foam together with carbonates contained therein, while phosphates remain as flotation tails.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
