FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: holder includes felt lubricating wick included in lubrication system and contains a large number of louvre or bowl-shaped oil pockets in wick holder. The above pockets are filled with oil at complete filling of oil reservoir with oil which is used for lubrication by means of sputtering during normal engine operation. Oil pockets are located above minimum oil level in oil reservoir and are designed for improvement of wick oil saturation. As per one of the versions of the design the oil pockets are arranged on a separate sputtering sleeve. Method proposes to use passive inertia pump which is installed in oil reservoir of axial bearing cap.
EFFECT: lubricating wick ensures supply of larger amount of oil to the area of axial neck of support bearing due to improvement of oil saturation.
