FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: with ICE idling, crankshaft angular speed in continuously measured in preset equal angular intervals within one cycle of ICE operation. Dependence of angular speed on crankshaft turn angle in operation of all cylinders is defined and, then, its is defined starting from the fuel feed cutout moment (ignition OFF) in third cylinder. In both cases, minimum angular speeds are defined for sections corresponding to expansion stroke start and end in particular cylinders. Appropriate angular speeds defined in operation of one cylinder before and after fuel feed cutout are compared.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of determination.
