FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. Dental tape is made from monothread and contains central base with first external surface and second external surface opposite to first external surface. At least, one from first and second external surfaces has multitude of hollows, which project into central base of dental tape. Multiple hollows are provided from nearly 5% to nearly 95% of total area, at least, one of first and second external surfaces. Hollows have depth within central base relative to, at least, one of first and second external surfaces, containing multitude of hollows, corresponding to nearly from 0.1% to nearly 95% of central base width, which is taken diametrically relative to, at least, one of first and second external surfaces, containing multitude of hollows. As a result user obtains improved grip of tape, which can be easily put into interdental spaces.

EFFECT: improved application and holding of additives to tapes is ensured without worsening of physical mechanical properties in application of well-known binding substances or without them and maintenance of comfort for user due to absence of fibrillation.
