FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: melting is carried out in a bath of an arc furnace, at the bottom of which a portion of the charge mixture is loaded, pre-heated to a temperature of 110-550°C, and set on fire by means of primer, while in addition a reducing agent, such as aluminium and/or calcium and/or magnesium is injected to the charge mixture, and recovery of manganese oxides mixture is carried out by maintaining the ratio of total calcium and magnesium oxides to oxides of silicon and aluminium in the final slag within the limits of 0.3-1.25. 5-10 minutes before the end of melting, the precipitation mixture is added into the melt in the amount of of 3-7% of weight of manganese raw materials, the electrodes are sunk and the melt is heated to a temperature of 1550-1650°C.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain manganiferous alloys of manganese-rich ores and concentrates, including chemical concentrates with higher rates of extraction of manganese, electricity consumption and quality of the finished product, by means of improving physical and chemical properties of the final slag: reducing viscosity and increasing interfacial tension and changes in the composition of the source reducing agent due to introduction into its composition of more powerful reducing agents such as calcium, magnesium and aluminium.
