FIELD: pyrometallurgy, more particularly recovery of manganese from various types of manganese stock. SUBSTANCE: prior to charging blend, reaction volume of calcium fluoride (fluorspar)-based melt is formed, and carbonaceous reducing agent is waste of lining and aluminium electrolyzer electrodes.
