FIELD: ferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, more specifically, to the electrothermal production of ferroalloys, and can be used in the production of various grades of ferromanganese and ferrosilicon manganese. Charge contains manganese ore and a carbon reducing agent, as well as steel chips for producing carbon ferromanganese or quartzite and dolomite for producing ferrosilicon manganese. The charge contains low-grade high-volatile black coal in the form of grade D long-flaming coal and/or B2 brown coal as a reducing agent. The ratio of components in the charge for producing carbon ferromanganese herein is as follows, wt.%: manganese ore 61.7 to 71.9; grade D black coal and/or grade B2 brown coal 21.9 to 33.0; steel chips 5.3 to 6.2, and for producing ferrosilicon manganese, as follows, wt.%: manganese ore 45.8 to 53.3; grade D black coal and/or grade B2 brown coal 28.6 to 40.3; quartzite 7.2 to 8.3; dolomite 6.6 to 7.8.
EFFECT: lower degree of phosphorus production in manganese ferroalloys.
