SUBSTANCE: method to equalise fluctuations in the composition of the fuel in the gas turbine power plant with at least two cascades of burners operated in parallel in response to variations in fuel composition the fuel feed regulation is performed to at least two cascades of the burners, and when regulating the fuel feed the separation of the fuel between the cascades of the burner is made, that is, the relative distribution of fuel in the cascades of the burners according to the target value, or in order to maintain the target value. In this case the target value may be, for example, a constant or a function of one or more variables. In particular, the gas turbine unit may contain an igniting cascade of burners and the main burner cascade, and for regulation of the fuel supply the fuel separation between the igniting and main burner cascades is set on the target value, or to maintain the target value.

EFFECT: effective exclusion of the increased emissions or fluctuations of burning when equalising fluctuations in the composition of fuel.
